stuff we drool about

Vagabund Honda CB450

One of our favorite custom motorbikes ever is the spectacular BMW R100R by Vagabond Moto. Today we showcase another work of art by the Austrian duo, designer Paul Brauchart and mechanical engineer Philipp Rabl - the 1972 Honda CB450 K5 Cafe Racer, a build developed in line with a brief of clean lines and a minimalist finish, with everything deemed as unnecessary being removed. After being stripped bare, the bike was fitted with a wheel hugger style number plate mount that doubles as a fender, and tiny LED indicators and brake light, keeping the tail end clean. Other stylish details include grips wrapped in brown leather with bar end indicators, a tiny dial, and wiring running internally adding to its minimal finish. For a touch of vintage cool a Brooks tools bag hangs off the bikes frame, and a industrially inspired paint scheme ties everything together beautifully.
