Flite x Marc Newson eFoil

Marc Newson, the renowned industrial designer with a passion for surfing, has teamed up with Australian watersports company Flite to create the MN Series eFoil. This cutting-edge electric hydrofoil features a carbon-fiber monobloc design, marking a significant advancement in eFoils.

Flite, based in Byron Bay, has been a pioneer in developing motorized hydrofoils known as Fliteboards since 2016. These battery-powered boards offer a thrilling surfboard-style experience. The MN Series eFoil, designed by Marc Newson, sets a new standard by becoming the worlds lightest eFoil, weighing less than 20 kilograms.

Newson crafted this hydrofoil using high-modulus pre-preg carbon fiber from Japan, a material known for its strength and lightweight properties. This innovative approach reduces the number of parts and eliminates various mechanical joints, contributing to the boards overall lightweight design.

In addition to its remarkable construction, the MN Series eFoil offers two different sizes to cater to riders of varying experience levels and body weights. It features integrated handles, advanced materials like titanium accents, and a sleek design. Moreover, Marc Newson has enhanced the Flite Controller, providing riders with performance feedback and live wave data through a circular color screen.
