PIT26 G-Wagen Pickup

Mercedes-Benz is known for luxury sedans, sports cars, and SUVs, but not for pickups. However, Pit26 Motorsports has brought the G-Class into the pickup truck world with their new creation, the Pit26 G-Wagen Pickup. This is not just any pickup, as it is based on the already high-end 2019-2023 G550 or G63 models, with a starting price of $385,000.

The Pit26 G-Wagen Pickup is not for the faint of heart, as it has been stretched 20 inches, resulting in a total length of 232.4 inches (5,900 mm). Pit26 achieves this by cutting the vehicle behind the rear seats and extending the chassis, before enclosing the cab and adding a truck bed. The use of OEM parts ensures the G-Class aesthetic is retained.

Pit26 also adds a revamped suspension that includes new upper and lower control arms, a durable steering knuckle, custom Bilstein shocks, and coils. Additionally, the portal axles have been re-geared, and the rear axle benefits from a full lower truss support for added strength and rigidity. The end result is nearly 9 inches (229 mm) of additional ground clearance, with factory-like comfort.

The Pit26 G-Wagen Pickup has options aplenty, with a custom front bumper that features an integrated winch, high-clearance rear bumper with a full-size spare tire carrier, a roof top tent, a roof rack with KC auxiliary lights, a custom exhaust, and electric side steps. The bed can also be upgraded with a dual bike rack or a cargo storage solution from TruckVault.

As for performance, Pit26 hints at performance tunes and brake upgrades, although they didnt provide specifics.

With a starting price of $385,000, the Pit26 G-Wagen Pickup is not a cheap ride, and its not for everyone. However, if you are looking for something unique and exclusive, this insane SUV-truck conversion is definitely worth checking out. Plus, with more than 1,100 man-hours required to create the first truck, you know that Pit26 puts quality and attention to detail at the forefront of its designs.
