1968 Lamborghini Miura Millechiodi

The gorgeous Miura is the car that put Lamborghini on the map in the sixties, and the most redeeming thing about the Miura, is the fact that there is only so many of them. In original P400 form, the Lamborghini Miura left its rivals for dead in terms of styling, handling and overall performance. The 1968 Miura P400 S Millechiodi however, is in a league of its own. Built to replace a factory-built Miura Jota that was destroyed in an accident, this prolific vehicle has been the subject of an exquisite Italian restoration (valued at $320,000) by the best in the business over a period of three years. The beauty was painted British Racing Green and trimmed in black leather, given Plexiglass-covered headlights, the engine was retuned and equipped with a free-flowing exhaust, bigger pistons and valves, as well as more aggressive camshafts. Considering a Miura P400 S in good condition is worth about $1 million these days, this example (considering its significance and recent maintenance history) might well soon be the most expensive Miura ever.
