1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor

The "Gone in 60 Seconds" 1967 Shelby GT500 Eleanor is for sale! Many Ford Mustangs have starred in movies, the 1969 Fastback in John Wick or the 1968 Shelby GT500 in The Thomas Crown Affair, but at the top of that list is, was and always will be the 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang dubbed "Eleanor" from Gone in 60 Seconds. Now, two decades after the original release of the film, one of the original three hero cars from production is up for sale. This particular version has 72,000 miles on the odometer, and is equipped with Ford´s 400-horsepower cubic-inch (or 5.8-liter) small-block V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. This Eleanor was also equipped with a nine-inch Lincoln rear axle, a suspension upgraded with a better coilovers and wishbones, rack-and-pinion power steering, and stabilizers from Total Control Products. Pricing has not been published, it is available upon request, but we estimate it to be well over a million bucks.

WEST COAST DEFENDER

It seems our obsession with Land Rover Defenders is shared with West Coast Defender, an LA based company. If you live in the U.S. the cult vehicle hasn´t been available new on the market since 1997, and importing one is not an option due to strict U.S. vehicle import laws. However classic cars, like the Defender, 25 years old or older, have no import restrictions. "West Coast Defender" searches the UK and Europe for classic Land Rover Defenders, brings them to the...
