1965 Alfa Romeo GTA

This rare, factory-built, Italian sports car with a resume of motorsports is up for sale! The name Alfa Romeo GT is synonymous with elegance and sporting performance, never more so than in the GTA, a race version of the GT. The 1965 Alfa Romeo 1600 GTA Autodelta was a modified version of the Giulia GT introduced to compete in the European Touring Car Championship. The GTA was modified by Autodelta, who replaced the Giulia´s steel body with a lighter aluminum body to reduce considerably the cars weight. Now weighing just 1,630lbs, this beauty is powered by a 1.6L twin-spark engine that puts down up to 217hp in race-trim. The car has a long resume with hundreds of races under its fan-belt, and features a slew of upgrades, including magnesium wheels, a spartan race cockpit, and aluminum body panels.
