Household Items Inspired By Tv And Movies

By: Kenny Pickett from Clicker.com

Everyone needs things in their home to perform various tasks, right? So why have normal household items when you can have things that are from movies and TV shows? Here are some of those items to get you started:

The Star Trek pizza cutter:
Everyone loves pizza. Jocks, nerds, preps, dweebs, burnouts, rebels, recluses; everyone. Though this pizza accessory is for the trekkies out there. This replica of the U.S.S. Enterprise is a stainless steel pizza cutter will slice up your pok tar and redspice pizza while you knock back a case of Romulan ale.

Sonic Screwdriver screwdriver:

Doctor Who has a huge following spanning many generations and has recently been airing on BBC America and will probably be gaining some new, American fans. This version of the Doctor’s sonic screwdriver is actually a screwdriver. Brilliant! Now whenever you’re fixing something around your house you can do a bad British accent and talk about Daleks and Cybermen.  Your companion will just love it!

Tauntaun sleeping bag:

Star Wars did kind of define the whole movie merchandise thing. Also another reminder of Han Solo being the coolest. This sleeping bag is a replica of the beast Han Solo cut open to save Luke’s life on Hoth. The zipper is even a lightsaber which makes it look like you’re cutting it open. Finally every time you go to bed you can say "and I thought they smelled bad on the outside.”

Han Solo ice cube trays:

More Star Wars stuff, I think we can all agree that Han Solo is the best part of Star Wars, right? And that Empire Strikes Back is the best film in the series? And Harrison Ford’s improvised reply to Leia’s "I love you” ("I know”) is the coolest line in any Star Wars? Great, sounds like we’re on the same page. I present to you the coolest ice cube trays in the galaxy.

Batmobile:

This is a replica of the Batmobile from the 1966 Batman television series. This show was extremely popular, which is hard to understand in the post-Tim-Burton-post-Christopher-Nolan universe (although it makes sense when you think about Joel Schumacher). Not that the 1966 Batman isn’t great, it just isn’t very dark and brooding. This version of the Batmobile, however, is still my favorite. If I had $150,000 I would be blogging in the front seat instead of in my apartment right now. I will accept donations via PayPal.
